M. NASIR UDDIN, PhD, FAHA, Chairman
Dr. Uddin received BSc and MS degrees in Biochemistry from University of Dhaka in 1988 and 1990, respectively. He served as a faculty member at the same department from 1991 to 2008. In 2000, he received his PhD degree from Gifu University, Gifu, Japan. He later joined as a post-doctoral fellow at the same university and worked for 2 years. Dr. Uddin got another post-doctoral fellowship from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine (TAMU-COM). In 2011, he joined as Assistant Professor at same institution. His lab focuses on the translational research in hypertension during pregnancy. Long-term goal of his lab is to determine the pathogenesis and molecular signaling in hypertension during pregnancy (preeclampsia). The potential significance of his research is that successful completion may identify molecular therapeutic targets that could effectively prevent preeclampsia. His lab uses animal model, different cell lines and human patients for research.
Md. Ruhul Amin, Director
Mr. Amin received BSc and MS degrees in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from University of Rajshahi in 2006 and 2007, respectively. He served as a Biochemist at the Zainul Haque Sikder Women’s Medical College from 2009 to 2010. In 2010, he joined Renata Ltd., (Hormone Facility, UK-MHRA approved) and worked for 6.5 years under Quality control and Research and Development. In 2017, he joined as Laboratory In-charge in Aristopharma Ltd., (Cephalosporin Facility) and worked for 3.5 years. His last professional organization named Everest Pharmaceuticals Ltd., worked for 2.5 years as a Head of Quality control department in both Oncology and General Product Facility. He is a certified Assessor of ISO 17025 of Bangladesh Accreditation Board. His aim is to be a global leader in delivering innovative and affordable biotechnology solutions, advancing pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, and life sciences research, and enabling breakthroughs that enhance health and quality of life worldwide.
